The Hellenic Ministry of Economy, Infrastructure, Maritime Affairs and Tourism has announced the recommencement of the "Energy Efficiency at Household Buildings" program.
This has become apparent from a document issued by the Special Secretariat for the Management of European Funds of the ERDF and CF, which was communicated to MP Charakidis by the competent Ministry, in response to a relevant question submitted by the MP on April 7, 2015.
As noted in the document, the program in question is among the priorities of the new 2014-2020 programming period.
In its response, the Special Secretariat states that, in cooperation and consultation with stakeholders, the relevant preparatory actions have commenced for the launch of a new program, equivalent to the "Energy Efficiency at Household Buildings".
The response specifically states that, so farthe following actions have taken place:
• Utilization of stakeholder proposals
• Completion of the ex ante evaluation of the financial instrument
• Completion of actions of the relevant obligation for full integration of directives 2010/31/EU and 2012/27/EU into National Law.
• Lastly, the document notes that, as regards the disbursement of the beneficiaries of the current "Energy Efficiency at Household Buildings" program, the necessary motions have been set in place, and, in the following period, the final pending disbursement applications throughout the country are expected to be repaid.
The matter was brought to parliament by MP Charakidis, who requested to be informed of the fate of the program during the new programming period and the repayment of the previous program's beneficiaries.
The recommencement of the "Energy Efficiency at Household Buildings" program is expected to revive the crucial construction sector, which employs thousands of citizens and has been in deep recession during recent years.
